I am new to this group, I just got a 66 chevelle and want to know the easiest way to put disc brakes on the front. What donors can be used? I don't have access to my own machine shop, I just want to have better stopping power.Thanks,Brian.

You can get a kit ready to go from just about any resto parts supplier or a company like BAER or Master Power Brakes. If you want to go the donor car route, look for any 69-72 A body car (Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Cutlass/442, LeMans/GTO, Skylark/GS). You can also use the disc brakes off a Nova up to 74 but you have to use the Chevelle steering arm. If you do take it from a donor car, make sure you take everything including the power booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve/distirbution block.
