wasnt sure if this belonged in the interior section or transmission so im just gonna throw it here and hope nobody minds.

not quite sure what to call it but the indicator on the dash that shows what gear you are currently in (whether its park or reverse, etc) doesnt move when i switch gears...ever . how should i address this issue cause even though i know what gear im in at all times, its just annoying and well broken

thanks in advance

Drop the column and to the right of the column there sould be a cable coming from the cluster that moves the indicator. And on the rightside of the column there sould be a slot.the cable sould be screwed to the column.Hope this helps.

If I can figure out your e-mail, I'll send you a pic of mine when it was broken.
It should help.

over time the little wire that pulls the pointer thru the diff gears cuts a groove in the plastic, then the wire(or whatever its made of) gets caught, and breaks
if you rem the small panel under the column, you can see on the r/s of the col. a small screw and clamp(its adjustable to line up the pointer), from the clamp the wire went up to the speedometer where the ind. is
you would have to rem the cluster (speedometer) to replace it, if one is avail.
