So after scoring my 12 bolt for $200 off craigslist, i was walking through a local boneyard, and found a t/a firebird, that had a ls1 in it, complete with harness and computer, car also had disc brake rearend, and cool looking buckets and back bench. So i ask the hilljack how much for the motor, he says it "probably don't run" i say, that's ok, i'm going to rebuild it, so he says 350 for the motor, 150 for the power seats, and 400 for the rear end. I'm going to pass on the rearend as I've got a 12 bolt, but what about the prices for the seats and engine. it was an auto, i believe they put the 700R in those? I wanna put this in my 70 chevelle, i was going to build a408 stroker motor, but this might do the trick instead. opinions and comments please:)

Thats a good deal for the motor/trans/comp harness ect. I would do if not to put into a car then to resell on e-bay. I dont think the seats would look good in a chevelle tho. I think the trans is a 4l60e? I think:confused:

Thats darn good money for the LS1 as long as you get all the assecories as well as the harness and computer. Get the tranny too if you can. Wish it was closer, im lookin for one.

You got to thow some bones my way I'm in the same boat now looking for 12-Bolt and an Ls1 T-56 setup haven't found anything. I was trying to get a whole wrecked car for $3,500.

I do have a lead right now on a 71 El Camino 12 Bolt for $500 and he also has a 6.0L 05 motor with a 02 Vette Cam. He didn't give me a price for that.

I was really looking into ls1 for the weight reduction but he was saying might as well go with 6.0L or 5.3L iron block b/c of strength. Of course he is that is what he selling. I'm loking at today to get more info.

Sorry I didn't buy it it wasn't very complete and had some damage that needed repairing.
