OK so today i went to the local junk yard here in bremerton lloking for a bigger sway bar for my car, I've been driving without one for the last 4-5 months. Just my luck, the last car i look under (a 78' z28) had a fat front sway bar. Took some measurements and found it to be 1 1/4"! Sweet! just what i was lookin for. Now that i have it I'm wondering if i vcan reuse the end links and buchings from it....I measured, and trial fitted, and it all looks to be ok. I also need to know what size/type bolts to use on the bushing-frame mounting holes as i dont have them.....if anyone knows the bolts to use, it'd be great if'n you'd share the knowlegde! Thanks!!! graemlins/beers.gif

good score...take the money you saved by finding that bar and buy yourself some energy suspension bushings and endlinks. If that car has been sitting for a while, I can't imagine the bushings would be any good.

great, the posts should be fine, the bolts are either 5/16-18 or 3/8-16 i do not remember sorry but it would be one of those standard course threaded bolts 3/4 to 1.25" long will work. be sure your frame is not rusted out where you are bolting these to, the thicker bar could just pull right out if its thin. so i did this, while i hade the frame upside down. http://chevelles.com/showroom/FO_FDYFO/frame-02-25-02l.jpg
