I just put some rims and tires on my 71 Chevelle, I am going for a certain look, please keep this in mind. The tire/rim is a little too wide for the car and sticks out a little beyond the inner edge of the quater panel. It does not go past the outer edge. I have replaced the coil springs with moog replacement springs, not heavy duty or cargo. I have 2 to 3 inches of clearance between the tire and body. I think it is too close for comfort. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is a stiffer spring choice and should I use air bags or air shocks. Any help would be great.
