I am considering replacing the coils on my 67 Chevelle with dropped coils (available from OPG) They offer 2" and 3" drop. Since my coils are already lower than stock I am wondering how much lower the ride height will be and which ones to get. Is there a formula for "ORIGINAL" replacement spring ride height that I can use to compute the 3" from? Does anyone have experience with this?

Here is what my Skylark looks like with the OPG 2" springs in the back. the tires in the rear are 205/75-14 for reference. The front has QA1 coilovers adjusted all the way down(about 2" lower also).
Edit : oops..forgot to attach.

The assembly manual (at least my copy for 1966) lists ride heights from various places on the frame to the ground... Also breaks it down for certain option combinations too (because of weight differences).
You could measure yours and compare to that data to see where you really are now...
Hey, so the car pictured appears alot lower than 2" below stock, especially with brand new springs that haven't settled. Anything else going on?
