Kinda goes against the rules here but I would like the car discussed as I have not heard about these cars before. The car in question is discussed in the last few posts. If the statements are correct it is one of 2 survivors of a total of 6 built.
I would hope the mods would give a little wiggle room as they certainly do not get more rare than this.
Ideas on value ? How 'bout when finished?

It is interesting to me that the owner just shows up....hmmmm
I would think it would be worth about what a similar El Camino SS would be. While it is more rare, it is not significantly more desirable.
As to rarity, as far as I can tell there were about 750 non-SS Chevelles with 396 engines. See this for more. (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269192)

any idea what the guy was/is asking for it? Is it documented in any way, numbers match etc etc. rust? it is just too hard to say without pictures of everything to have an idea of a value here. But I would sure be interested in a car like that just for the sake of being different lol, but I would not pay big money for it I would pay a little extra but not much over a normal 4 door car unless it has already been restored then I might bump it up some.

I think they're cool, I remember reading about a sleeper built from a 4-door biscayne. Ran 11's or 12's back in the '90's. IMHO it actually looked better with the extra length.

I think it would be cool to restore it back as a cop car with all the stuff it would have had back then but I wouldn't pay a premium for it either. (well, maybe if I was rich) :D
What is he asking for it?
