I just did a disc brake swap on my 69 chevelle, Now I'm bolting up everything and was wondering what kind or size of banjo bolt does these new brake lines take to the factory calipers, and will the factory drum brackets that hold the lines to the frame work with the new disc brake hoses....thanks for the help guys.....cliff

I pieced together a front disc setup with NOS parts and the calipers accepted a 10MM banjo bolt. I got the setup from www.true-connections.com. (http://www.true-connections.com.) Nice place.
Use the hose to line mounts on the frame. The drum setup has one mount on the drum backing plate, and the other end of the house attaches to the frame where the hard line connects to the rubber line. The hose conects to the caliper and the other end should fit right on the bolt on bracket on the frame. you might have to enlarge the opening with a small file though.
Hope this helps.

Thanks jay, I'll try that, but I can't believe I have a complete disc setup from a 70 chevelle, and it seems that the brake line from the caliper to the hard line is so tight that it's unsafe to use, I checked back and they ran part numbers and said to try a 69 nova with disc brakes, its supposed to be around 15", the chevelle one is 13", I got the spindles, brackets, and everything, but that darn line seems to not work on my 69...oh well just another delay..thanks cliff

When I did my disc brake swap I too found the recommended stock disc brake hoses too short. I found 14 inch long ones listed for a 74 monte carlo. Perfect lenght for me (on a 69 car). For the banjo bolt, my auto parts store selected a banjo bolt for a chrysler of all things, had the right depth and thread. It came in a HELP package that you may have seen at cheap generic auto parts shelves. If you want, I can look up the part number as I saved it. I bought my new parts at an Auto Value store. I think you have the same stores available in the US of A.

You can use 69 Camaro front disk brake hoses with the Chevelle drum brake hose frame brackets, they are a few inches longer. Be sure to use the correct Banjo bolt. Napa #82701 is 1.1 long. You can also use 78 Camaro hoses but you will need to use Banjo bolt Auto Zone # 313935 which is .9 long. The 78 Camaro hoses are cheaper and do not have to be special ordered.
