: Why can't I leave neurtal feedback on ebay?
Alwhite00 Jun 24th, 09, 11:14 PM I go through the whole thing to leave neutral feed back for a seller and then it asks to check one of 3 boxes, I check that my information is factual & true and it dead ends there, What am I doing wrong. (other than buying on ebay:D)

Bill Pritchard Jun 25th, 09, 12:01 AM You aren't doing anything wrong. You cannot leave neutral or negative feedback for anyone anymore....no, I'm NOT kidding :noway: The whole eBay feedback thing is a joke anymore
drums&cars Jun 25th, 09, 12:15 AM The one time I left neutral feedback for a seller(Tool was virtually useless due to missing parts I wasn't informed of) prompted the seller to leave me negative feedback even though I did everything that is asked of a buyer. Total joke.....
davis95 Jun 25th, 09, 12:20 AM It's either positive or negative....no more neutral. Still not sure of Ebay's motive behind this, but I'm sure they have one.
GAGE 1959 Jun 25th, 09, 12:32 AM Bottom line is they don't want to loose sale's !! The thing that bothers me alittle
is when you buy with paypal, the seller instantly is paid , so why do they wait
for you to leave feedback before they do? I think it should be automatic for the
customer to get a positive feedback when they use paypal !!
rianbechtold Jun 25th, 09, 4:23 AM Yea, I found that out when I tried to do it to a guy. The product was as described but the shipping took almost 4 weeks:sad:
One thing that has been happening to me lately is I get a message from the buyer a few days later saying they don't have the part!? WTH, I can't just bid on an item then say "Ooops, don't have the money!"

Well said, Jon! I couldn't agree more!!

Whenever I sell an item, I feel the buyer has done all he needs to do when I have been paid. I leave feedback even before I ship. I hate it when I buy an item and the seller wants me to leave him a good feedback before they will leave me one. Actually, as a buyer, I could care less about my feedback numbers. As a seller, I'm quite concerned about my keeping my 100% feedback rating, and I would never want the buyer to feel obligated to leave feedback unless the item was as described and I shipped promptly and for a fair price. That's why I buy with one account and sell under another. Ebays feedback system as flawed in oh so many ways.....
cessnarob Jun 25th, 09, 8:10 AM I agree with all the above myself...I'd have alot higher score if folks would leave feedback when I bought something...But really jerks my chain too buy something and then a week later I get an e-mail asking for me too leave feedback..."I say nope..too late..you should of left me mine since I was the buyer and paid instantly".. I have been told by the seller before that the transaction isn't over till I receive the item and all is good. I don't play that tactic..:noway:

1BLACKHARLEY Jun 25th, 09, 8:12 PM i left a neutral once, and all hell broke loose. i paid cash for the car, it wasn't a #1 car as stated. it was nice, but upon arrival, i had to do a lot of electrical work and some clean up, definately not #1 car. he gave me a negitive feedback, even though i had cash, full price to him in less than 24 hours. it was total retalitation, for no other reason, than he didn't know what a #1 car was. it took me weeks to get that thing off my feedback. e-bays attitude was, hey, everybody gets a negitive sooner or later. i threatened to get my lawyer involved, and it was removed....
