hello all I just wanted to run this by you guys see what you think I am reinstalling my rearend right now to move my car to my dads garage and after fumbling with the springs and finally getting them in I put the drum cover on one side threw a tire on.... and then the other side the drum cover was a pain in the butt to get on.....after it was on I put a tire on and it wouldnt spin?! i had the whole rearend in the air and i couldnt get it to move? I was going to replace the shoes and springs but after it was at my dads but now the tire wont even spin anyone know the cause of this problem the brake lines arent even connected to the mc and the ebrakes not hooked up.... maybe i will have to replace the brakes sooner than i thought?

You need to adjust the star wheel that's located on the bottom between the drum shoes. The star wheel adjusts how far the shoes move to the side. Loosen the star wheel with a flat head if you don't have the star wheel adjuster tool to let the drums fit on, then tighten the wheel until you hear some dragging between the shoes and drum when your spinning the drum. You want a little bit of drag and you want the drums to be able to move when you spin it. Do this to both sides.Good Luck.

man oh man just came in from a little adventure....that drum brake cover did not want to come off i think the star wheel was toast or something, but I did get it off and thrashed the inside shoes and springs in the process... so at least its off and i can get the tire on it now to transport it and will be picking up some rear drums kits ;)
