I have a mystery trim tag i am having problems with. There is a 200 and a 3 in the bottom corner that do not add up. Any help would be niuce

They are most likely internal plant numbers not really significant unless you are interested in that stuff. There are a few decoding resurces available, check out Dales site for your year chevelle and it will help you alot. hope this helps Andy

The 200 is likely just a Fisher Body Job Number
The 3 is unknown. No documentation exists for these extraneous stamps. They mean something to Fisher Body but no one will ever know what. It could have been something as simple as quality control. Random vehicles marked than later checked for any quality control problems.

cool thanks for the help guys... I had never seen one stamped from the back side like that .. all the ones i had seen were stamped from the front. Just goes to show me how much i still do not know..

Baltimore did that thorugh at least 1972 as did Framingham for several years. They appear to be stamped after the typical information since they appear in different places on the tag - upper right, lower right, etc. - but before plate was attached to firewall.
