I recently installed IE8 on my vista computer, and notice in the history that that each day when I get on the internet there will show a folder in history called "Computer". I would post exactly where it's going but I deleted the entry for whatever reason. (I can post it next time I see it)
Dont know if it is and IE8 thing or something due to my change in providers (switched from cable to a dial up broadband card)
Anyone else seen this? Virus?

file:///C:/Users/user name/AppData/Local/Temp/STS80A3.tmp
file:///C:/Users/user name/AppData/Local/Temp/STS9914.tmp

You can not post a file directly off of your computer.
Try a screen shot and post the pic would better explain things.
Is this what you are talking about?

Undee,
No, I wasnt trying to post an active link for someone to look at my computer. That is the file path of the entry in the history log. If you were wo right click/copy right where your mouse is shown in your post, then paste in the thread, it would display the file path similar to what I have shown.
Does that help clarify? Let me know. Thanks for the reply.

IE7 does the same thing. Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer are tied together. Any files you open via Windows Explorer are tracked as History as well and any Internet addresses.

I tried that, but all I get is a error that says file not found, but I don't have Vista either, i have XP.
