I have a 72 SS with cowl induction. I have gone through the car and everything is brand knew or replaced with rebuilt NOS parts. I shut my wipers off for the first time and on and they shut off and park in the center of the windshield. I put in an SS rebuilt dash from another vehicle (unsure what it came out of), could it be the switch, or is it the motor?The linkage was checked and there is only one way to bolt this on the back of the motor, so it's not that. Help! Thanks

Erik unhook the linkage under the cowl. Then turn thr switch on,when you turn the switch off the motor will stop in the park position ,then hook the linkage back uo and it should work

My 70 did the same thing. Replaced the wiper motor with a unit purchased from NPD in California and it cured the problem. Its quieter now too. It also came with a new washer pump for around 80 bucks.
