I am not a father, but spent the day with my dad. I took him & mom up and we watched the star trek movie, they both thought it was great. Then I took them out for some mongolian bbq food, dang was that good!

My son (9YO) got this card for me that you press a small button on the card and record a message. I had never seen a card like that, and we both ended up having a good time with the card. What will Hallman think of next. :)

I spent it laying laminate floor, 362 square feet done approx 1200 to go. Along with me knees, every muscle below the waist is sore. Looks good though. Pete

Left the wife drive me around in the Chevelle (my day right?). Stopped by a patio for some fries, pizza and a few beverages. She hit a few bad bumps through this one town and broke a header collector gasket......so when we got home I dropped the exhaust and my son and I proceeded to irritate the surrounding areas with a nice mellow tone of a potent small block with open headers:D

Went to church, Went and seen both dads (mine & wifes), trimmed a huge tree in the front yard, helped make dinner, trimmed 12 large hedges in front of the house. hauled said branches & tree trimmings to the DPW and set up a pool - I guess it wasnit too bad a day. :D

Not to be a downer, but my dad died 2 weeks ago. My kids were still up north with my in-laws for thier after-school vacation. My wife was hungover from the wedding we went to the night before and then had to work Sunday evening.

What did I do? I went to the Back to the '50s car show in St Paul. 12,000 or so 1964 and older cars completely filling the state fairgrounds, 10+ acre swap meet, all the trimmings. It was the first real car show my dad took me to. It wasn't something I could do with anyone else. I wanted to go alone, and I enjoyed myself just being there, didn't even really look at the cars, just enjoyed being there.

As in the other 2 posts, we went to the local cruise, drank a LOT of beer, saw some nice cars I haven't seen before and made fun of the GTO guys with the stuffed animal collections. What more could ask for?

I went to the "Back to the 50s" swap-meet with my Dad and older brother. My younger brother met us there. By the time I got home, I was too tired to play with my own son. :(

Ok. Saturday was our 44th wedding anniversary. So we both went to the Back to the 50's car show here in St paul, Minn. Then of Sunday. I took off back to the fair grounds. For the swap meet. Till it started to rain. Then went home. Where my wife already had the lawn cut and dumped. Then she made dinner. Steak & Corn of the Cob. Then we sat back to watch a few movies. Great weekend !
