Hoping that someone can help in identifing some front disc brake parts. I picked up a COMPLETE GM disc brake setup, but it is unclear what model and year they came off from. The price was right so I took a chance hoping that it will fit my 70 chevelle. Here's what I found for #'s:
55470661-R (R caliper brkt)
5463566-R (R backing plate)
4878A (R steering arm)
No real # on the spindles that made any sense to me, but there is a GM 118 in one place and a MY in another. I also have the left side parts with simular #'s except with a -L. Any other way to identify these parts? Thanks alot for any help.

The correct setup for your Chevelle will have bolt-on caliper brackets. The later ones are cast in place. So, it sounds like you probably have the correct stuff.

Hey guys, sorry to be a pest about this, but does anybody have the ability to look these numbers up and let me know what it gives for the application? Also how can I tell if I have short or tall spindles?
Thanks again

No prob.
I couldn't find that steering arm #. There was a change in part# for the steering arms I think in 1971-72. A&G used the same arms, different from X&F. Just use the original drum arms if possible.
There were 2 different #s I saw for D.B. spindles on those cars. I think they should interchange between all the cars which take those brackets... but I'm just some guy on the internet. Verify on your own. I think maybe the old casting# was superceded, or it was a Chevy vs. BOP thing. Maybe the steering arm hole diameter changed?
There is note(,2) for 69F spash shield.
