I am working on my 64 Malibu, and I think I have a short in the tail lights. I think its some where in the dash because I unplugged the ribbon wire that runs to the trunk, and it still shorts. None of the lights have any power, directionals dont work, and brake lights dont work. The fuse for the tail lights will blow when the brake is applied. Any ideas?

Go to your nearest parts store and buy a cheap short finder, about 13$ at NAPA best investment I ever made and simple to use.
