I,ve got my 1-1/4 sway bar on the front now do I need to upgrade my 7/8ths bar on the rear. Is there a bigger bar that will work on the rear ? If so what is a good donner car to get It from? Would the T/A bar that I got the front bar from work? Thanks any input would be greatly appericiated . Thanks for putting up with the poor spelling and punctuation in all my posts

The rear T/A bar is different it is located off the leaf springs and support rods to the floor pan. There was a larger rear factory bar I think it was 1" that was avalible on like the 72 GTO. It is as rare as hens teeth now. I bought a couple from GM back in the early 80s. It was discontinued in about 85. You can buy larger bars than 7/8" in the aftermarket. HO offered a 1.375" up till they went out of business. Installing box tube trailing arms like the Edelbrock units will make your 7/8" bar more effective because the tubular arms have more a more rigid structure.

Thanks for the reply Slo307, This fat 1-1/4 front bar looks good I thought I could match it up on the back. I have my rear lower control arms boxed with the 7/8th,s bar so I guess I,ll just run with that set up for now maybe look for a bigger one thanks Ralph
