Ok, I have seen posts on here about people using an aluminum master cylinder off of a late model caprice/impala. However, I cant seem to locate any of this old info. Does anyone have any more info on this? I will be using this on a power brake booster from a 1980 Camaro in my 1971 chevelle. Thanks!

The Impala master cylinder (aluminum) has the brake line fittings on the same side as our Chevelles, but I do believe it has a different fitting that it uses.

I've got a friend that has a '96 Impala SS and got a chance to crawl under his hood and look.

This master cylinder would be IMO a perfect "first" choice to use with a front disc setup line BC has and PBR C4 or '93-'97 F-body rear disc setup.

What you might be thinking of is the S-10 manual brake master cylinder that Andrewb70 is running on his GTO and what the guys over on www.camaros.net (http://www.camaros.net) are running with their C4 PBR brake swap. Do a search over there and you'll find plenty of discussion and talk over the swap.

Good luck, graemlins/beers.gif

Just a note. The S10 MC that I am using is iron. I was not able to locate an aluminum one. The Delco S10 MCs are aluminum, mine is a Raybestos replacement.
