Daren71 Jun 18th, 09, 4:16 PM I can't sign into my Hotmail account. When I type my password in, the Bing home page comes up and no in box exists. Microsoft hit a home run with this one. Yes, this is dripping with sarcasm. Damn this makes me mad. I don't want Bing, I like Google. I didn't see that post. I haven't installed IE8 yet, I usually wait for awhile so some of the bugs get worked out. My home page hasn't changed, it was when I went to sign into my e-mail. After clearing out my private data (I use Firefox), everything seems OK now. I don't know if clearing out the private data helped or not. I absolutely hate it when something "takes over" like that, and I never checked any boxes, or even visited Bing before. Daren Mike Jun 18th, 09, 5:10 PM Stuff I read says that the Bing is installed as an update to IE8. Hasn't happened to me yet. I'm on FF also and haven't seen Bing appear. Don't see it as a cookie that would be removed when you clear your browser ,but who knows. You might check what's shown in the lin (http://www.fettesps.com/?p=232)k I added and see if your IE7 or FF have a redirect to Bing. DaleM Jun 25th, 09, 2:03 AM I don't remember anything specifically when I updated IE7 to IE8 some time ago on 3 PCs (2 XP and one Vista) about Bing. There may have been a prompt about changing my default search engine, can't remember. If there was, I simply checked whatever option to keep Google. IE8 works fine for me and has even fixed a major Adobe Acrobat problem I had with IE7. | ||
