I've done the disk brake conversion kit on the 69 coupe going from manual drums to power front disk. I have a power booster/mc with the lines going into my combination valve, then into the distribution block, on to the respected brakes. There are no leaks in the system that I can find. I switched the rod into the top hole of the brake pedal and have bled the brakes several times and they dont feel right. I havnt had the car out on the street much as I have most of the front cap off for painting, but I couldnt power brake it in the drive, it just rolled the front tires and the pedal still feels like a sponge  . Is there something special I need to do to the combination valve when I bleed the system. BTW I bench bled the master cylinder before I installed it. I havnt checked vacume, but the engine is basically stock for the exception of crane 266,intake and headers so vacume shouldnt be a problem. any tips on getting this system right. thanks
The first thing I can see right off the bat is the use of the top hole for the power brakes... not supposed to be the case. Power brakes use the bottom hole on the brake pedal... manual brakes use the top hole. Second thing that comes to mind always when you have a 'spongy' pedal is air in the system somewhere. I'd go back and re-bleed all the wheels, starting with the furthest away from the MC and work your way forward. I just gravity bleed mine with good success. I put about 1" of clean brake fluid in the bottom of a bottle and run a short piece on hose from the bleeder screw to the bottle. Make sure the end of the hose in the bottle is covered by the brake fluid. Then open the bleeder and let gravity do the work. You should get some air bubbles first till all the air is out of the line and make sure you have a tight fitting hose. If you want, you can very slowly press and release the pedal repeatedly, but make sure the fluid level stays up in the MC. If possible, have a helper slowly pump the pedal while you look into the MC and watch for any tiny bubbles there.
Good Luck,

Thanks Bill, I will have to back and check, but I THINK I put it in the top hole because it was in the bottom hole and had manual brakes  I knew it had to be the opposite hole from manual but I couldnt remember which.
