My dash lights in my 67 are not working for some reason. All the fuses are fine. The bright light indicator still works but the speedo and gauge lights don't. Any suggestions?

Is the head light switch all the way counter clockwise?

turn it clockwise and see if you get flickers or anything. might have to take the switch apart and clean it up a bit. or check your bulbs in the dash. i had only a couple working for years and never realized it till i got in there and replaced all of them. could'nt believe how bright the whole dash was after that.

my 67 is having these same issues. try wiggling the plug outlet on your fuse block that says lamps. that is where the short in mine is located. ended up kind of bending the plug over just a bit and it seems to have subsided for now.

I checked the bulbs already and they are good. I had wondered if the switch could have anything to do with it.Is getting the switch out and apart pretty easy? I'll try this I guess. Stay tuned.

Tail lamps and dash lamps go together. Are your tail lamps working?

All lighting on the car works except the dash lights.

Turn the headlights on, then check for power on both sides of the INST lamps fuse. Sometimes a fuse will "look' good but is isn't.

Take a bulb out, turn on the lights, use your test lamp and see if you have power in the socket.
might not be but it sure sounds like a grounding problem.was the ground you used tested and known good, did you clean the grounding areas with some sand paper?I,ve found myself stumped by not using a good ground and not cleaning the area i was testing.
