It's time to Dynamat the interior floors, doors and such in the wagon. How many square inches or square feet of this material will I need to cover the floors from the toe board to the rear of the passenger compartment? I also want to do the inside of the doors, the inside of the tailgate and the inside of the rear quarters and I suppose the roof. I haven't decided if I also need to do the cargo floor but I suppose I should.

Any idea how much I'll need to cover all that area?

I used 4 of the 36sq ft bulk packs from OnlineCarStereo in my 70. Floors, doors, trunk. Basicly the complete interior including firewall. Your wagon might need more but hope that helps.

I used 3 36 sq foot boxes in my 64 wagon, didn't do the headliner area though. Did the floors, all 5 doors, front fenders hood and quarter panels....Helped a lot!!!

The original factory sound deadener on the roof has long since deteriorated and the remnants scraped off so I have to put something up there, might as well be the good stuff.

Did you not do the cargo area of the wagon?

Also glad to hear it made a noticeable difference.

Odd that you ended up using more than a guy with a wagon did but it sounds like you did the trunk and he didn't do the cargo area of the wagon so perhaps a four pack would be best for me.

I used 3 boxes+ on my coupe for the inside firewall, floor, doors, roof, under dash, qtr window area, package tray. Didn't do the trunk.

If you are going to do the roof and cargo area on your wagon, I'd start with 3 or 4 boxes, see how it goes, and then buy more later if needed. The stuff is easy to find on the I-net at good prices. Be careful of low prices with high shipping cost. I found the best combo price at the time on Amazon.com. Also call the vendor to check stock before ordering. My friend has been waiting 4 weeks for his order, delaying his project.

I used Dynapad (on the floor and firewall) and Dynaliner (roof, under dash, door panels, package tray) over the Extreme. What a difference!!! I'd recommend 1/4 in Dynaliner over the Extreme on that big roof of yours.

There are other products on the market that may be just as good or better, as discussed many times on this site. I went with Dynamat/Dynaliner because the adhesive is very strong (hope I don't have to take it off in the future), considering our hot summers in Sacramento.

Rich, I used 76sq ft doing the complete floor from toe board to behind the rear seat, the ceiling and a 2 sq ft piece inside each door on my 65 2dr 300 deluxe and a 1 sq ft piece inside the rear quarter panel at the windows.
