A few days ago, i was near my car when i heard a loud snap. Turns out my top trunk torsion rod snapped in two. I have never heard of something happening like this. Im driving a 68 chevelle malibu. If any one has any advise or knowing of how to remove and/or replace the rod. At this point my trunk opens with trouble but doesnt stay open by itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What I did was type in torsion rod in the search and a ton of it came up.

That is always my first action, to do a search. But for some reason nothing related to torsion rod came up. But when i type it in google a bunch of things come up under chevelle forums. No idea. haha Thanks again fellas.
