My buddy and I were wondering around the Peotone (illinois) swapmeet Sunday.
We came across a unique bench seat. I didn't take any photos. The guy said he pulled it out of an el camino
The backrests were bucket seat backrests (my buddy said they were just like his 69 GTO bucket seat backs). It had a fold down armrest that was wider at the front than the rear so that when folded up, it filled thebucket seat back-gap. The sides of the bench had molded plastic trim with chrome trim that matched up with the back. The guy wanted $300, we hesitated, went back later and it was gone.
It definitely was a GM item. It looked recovered, but not cobbled together.
I'm thinking that it was out of a 69-72 riviera.
Anybody ever see anything like this? It sure was unique.

It was a Strato-bench, available in most big cars of the day. Not too common now, if it wasn't roached, 300 was a good price. They are usually power as well.

 Yep, the one pictured above was in a BB '66 Biscayne  I owned years ago, however it was removed from a '66 Caprice, it was a 6 way power seat.
