I tore my old oil pump apart tonight before I chucked it. The gear is one of the oil pump impellers, the shaft is broken where it joins with the distributor shaft, the black piece of crap is a piece of an old Comp Cams umbrella valve seal, and I don't know what the chunk of metal is from but its not supposed to be there:)

Not a good find. Did you have a chance to inspect for pieces in the pan?

I tore it all down and used the crank, heads, and tin to build a 439. There were pieces in the pan and oil filter too.
