: Front Control Arms

Hi, I am putting on the Sparton Works control arms with b-body spindles on my 66. I am using non stock springs that I had to cut to get the proper height. With the car on 4 identical wheels the front was 1 inch dropped from the back (new stock springs there).

But I just noticed that there is only 1 inch between the upper control arm bumpstop and the stop on the frame when the car is on the ground.

Is this enough? or do I have to cut the spring more? I can only see it hitting if I launch the front end of the ground.

Let me know your thoughts as I and putting the whole front end back together and have to stop if I need to remove the spring and cut it.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying there are two bump stops?

If you mean the bumpstop on the frame is one inch away from the underside of the upper control arm, why not cut the bump stop down a bit?
I know the bumpstops that come with the Hotchkis Tubular upper arms are only a half inch tall. The stock ones must be about two inches tall.
