hi guys i have ordered and mounted a front disc kit and a rear disc kit from summit.
i did not get a propotioning valve with the kits (the original one) that one need to be replaced too don`t it ? ( it`s a el camino -72 with original drumbrakes in all 4 corners) i do not get the brakes to lock the wheels , in fact i don`t get the car to slow down at all :sad: i have to open the door and stop it flintstone style, not what i expected /mike

With 4 wheel disk brakes you may not need a proportioning valve if the brake balance is about correct. Only after testing them out would you know if you need that valve. Does your car have a power brake booster? If so, the poor stopping may be because the booster is not working properly. If you have non-power brakes, the master cylinder may be too large in diameter, which will cause poor braking performance.

the master cylinder and the booster was included in the kit so i assume itīs the right things

is the master cyl push rod in the proper hole on the pedal arm? for a power system should be in lower hole
