I can't open ebay links from where I am, but if it's the one I saw recently with Chrome lid... well.... could be a good buy, not a repro from what I recall, but lid would not be Chrome.

If it is GM, the price seems fair. In the past these things have gone for a lot more!

The problem is... you can buy a repro which is dead on correct IMO.. and fits very nicely.. for $2000. Buying the GM one, you have to really know that what you are buying is for a 66/67 Chevelle and not a 69 or for a Camaro or Impala, etc.. and you have to be sure that you are getting the duct, plenum, and correct lid, etc.. if you are sure of all that and Repro just won't cut it b/c we are all so accustomed to thinking Repro must be JUNK... ( not the case here, made in USA in NC! ), then, yes, buying this might be a good deal...

Prices are not what they used to be.. but again, it depends on condition and whether it is all there or not.

Worth watching!

Absoultely agree ....been there done that ended up buying two to get one correct unit with all the chevelle parts ..........plus this one does not have the correct GM filter or the factory rope / seal that goes between the firewall and duct ...crappy fit at best ...for that kind of money it should have at least the filter ........quick look tells me this is a correct chevelle base and duct .not lid

Mike .on that lid it appears the GM info usually silk screened on the underside of normal lids is a decal ?? never seen that decal before ?? ..........plus did the correct GM cowl plenum lid have that script on it .....mine does not and it was right out of the box ??

Bill

I remember all you went through to get what you finally got!!

As far as I know and what I have seen over the years.. I don't believe any CP lid should be anything but BLACK, no stickers, no silk screen underneath and no script of any kind...of course I could be wrong.
