NAPA is going to warranty my alternator.:hurray:

But, just to be in line with my luck:

I take my alt to schucks last nite, they tell me it's bad.

So today, I take it to NAPA to see what can be done, also to retest it as I wasn't totally confidant in the prior test procedure.

So the Manager at NAPA, who I deal with quite a bit, see's me walk into the store, comes over to BS, sees the alt in my hand and just rolls His eye's. Before I can say anything, He says "it's toast, right?". I said ya, but let's test it to be sure, he says "no, I don't need to". :noway: He heads over to the shelf where there are two new one's sitting on the display, one box is empty, and the other is full. As He picks up the empty box, he starts cussing, turns out, someone has stolen it out of the box, right off the shelf.:sad:

So, He grabs the second box, and we start to swap out my march pulley, when we realize that the new alternator doesn't spin, turns out, it's toast right outta the box.:sad:

Just my luck lately.:yes:

He is getting another one from Everett in the morning, so I should be running tomorrow nite.:hurray:Maybe............

Yup, seems these chrome CSR units may be suspect.:yes:

I was looking at a Powermaster race unit, but I'm just glad I don't have to shell out 200.00 for an alt right now.:D

I got the alternator, going out to reinstall now.

I'm sp happy, I got to fix my car for free for once.:D
