Does anyone here use a fan or a dehumidifier in their crawl space to get rid of musty smells? If so, what brand ? Thanks, Jay

I have run a simple oscillating fan in the humid months, just moving the air helped a lot. Box fan would work too. I used the oscillating fan because that's what I had. It did wear it out though, I guess they aren't for continuous duty.

I run a de-humdifier in my basement during the summer months and it removes all musty smells. It is a Sears Kenmore brand.

My old Hotpoint that I bought used in 1987 is still keeping my basement comfortably dry and must-free. It has also been used in my garge to keep my Chevelle dessert-dry.

Be aware that dehumidifiers use power like an air conditioner.

I hooked up a run of the mill bathroom fan ...... they move plenty of air. Making the hole was an effort, other than that a piece of cake. Run it for a couple hours at a time when humidity is down or at night.
Helped allot.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll try a dehumidifier, a couple of other people suggested one too.
