I'm looking to locate my old car and need some advice as to how to go about doing so. I can go to my county website and search the vin but it doesn't give many details. I have the vin number and can look up the last title number issued but that was back in 2000. Not that the car was any that special but it was my first. Any advice would be great.

Jason; From every other post I've seen on this subject the best way to go about it is to have someone ( a friend ) in law enforcement or the DMV. Depending on how far you want to go back there may be nothing that can be done. Do a search on the subject and you will find all the info that you will need.

In Mississippi you pay money to the MS State Tax Comm for a title research. It cost $100.00 to establish your account then its about $8.00 for each title issued on the car. Mine had two plus mine so it was $24.00. The nice lady can also certified them for you if you ask nicely.

Will they find the car if it was moved out of Mississippi?
