I got some help from Bill C (BC) on this a while ago. I wanted to switch to a manual MC because my booster has never felt like it was working good, even with an electric vacume pump and I am going up a size in cam and will definately not have the vac. to run A power MC. O.K. all caught up I asked him what to use and he said the MC out of a 77 malibu with manual disks. Well i got one a part # 10-1639 A-1 cardone 19 bucks. Problem is it has only two mounting holes what is the best way to mount this thing. To the fire wall that has 4 studs. Do I need to remove the studs and make two more holes is there a weird adapter I can make. Bill if you are out there let me know how you did yours I think you said you had it on one of your cars. Also I do not remember do I use the top or bottom hole on the brake pedal for manual brakes?

thanks guys

Jacy,
You should just be able to mount the MC on the upper two studs coming out the firewall... that's how I did mine. But, you do need to run nuts down the other two studs and tighten them as those are the studs/bolts that hold the whole pedal assemblies in place! Then, the pushrod simply attaches to the upper brake pedal hole for manual brakes.

If you want, I can send you a picture of mine...

Hope that helps,
Bill C.

Man Bill do I feel Like a dumn $h!t. I just went into the garage and lined the thing right up. Thanks for pointing the obvious out to me. I used to have the booster so my lazy ass just saw the two holes instead of four and thought there must be a problem. Thanks again with your help maybe I wont kill myself next time I need to stop.

Thank you

Jacy
