Alright so after lurking, finally signing up and waiting 6 months to post, I'm finally saying hello. Just a quick blurb about me: I'm 35, currently stationed in Fort Worth Texas on my fourth duty station in the Navy, I love all types of cars but was brought up Chevy. I'm starting to get serious about finding a '65 Chevelle that I can customize and enjoy. I've waited a long time for this opportunity and will no doubt be ready soon to drive a car I've lusted after for so long. Two of the other most wanted classics I'd love to own include the 67/68 Chevy C-10 truck and the very popular 67/68 Camaro RS/SS. The trucks are generally easy to come by hard to find in good condition and the Camaro...well, the entry fee is kind of steep. I look forward to finding my '65 as well as soaking up all the knowledge here on the board. Thanks for having me.

Welcome Keith. Good luck in locating a nice 65. I've been looking a while myself. Just decided today to sell my project 68 camaro so I can afford a nicer 65. Texas is a good place to find generally rust free vehicles.

Thanks guys. Hey Rick, one of my closest friends here is from Abilene. Hate to hear you had to sell the Camaro but at the same time it was to get another cool car so I can see that. Yeah, out of the 3 classics I want the most, it's ironic I would pick the hardest to find. Found a pretty good "Foose'd up" 65 in Cleburne but it appeared overpriced to me. They threw a two tone paint job on it and wanted 25K. I don't know all of what else it had but I'm willing to bet it wasn't rare. The paint colors weren't even that nice together in my opinion. Trucks are in abundance here in Texas though, lol.
