On a 70 Chevelle SS with the round gauges how do you determine if the amp gauge is working properly? I have mine all hooked up and it never moves. stays just on the negative side of 0. I am also wondering about testing the oil pressure sending unit, is there a way to insure it is working properly?

With the engine off, turn on the headlights. The ammeter should take a decided move to the discharge side.
