I have to disagree with the "does not have a classic look to me", I know I'm a little bias cuz its my car, but it does have the classic look still, the style did change from 72 to 73, but really not that much of a drastic look to take it out of the classic look, Basically all they did was add the rear pillar to the car. Not as drastic as going from 73 to 74.
I know its your opinion, and I'm just disagreeing.

DO NOT SELL THE CAR!!!

I am not alone in predicting these cars becoming more and more popular. People want old Chevy muscle. The "classics" are out of reach $ to most working men nowadays, and there will be much more demand for the 73 + up Chevelles. I'd be proud to have one of those rides. Trick it out!!

I also believe that if it is not already in place, the American Chevelle Enthusiast's Society is considering adding these cars to the list.

Don't worry, not going to sell it, I need money to get it painted. Can anyone give me a rough idea how much it would be to repaint, hood, and two front fenders? Not sure what the going rate is for body work.

These are way more affordable than the early chevelles and with the right tire/wheel combo, can look great too. These drive like a dream and will increase in value. With the popularity of these not very high, the numbers are actually down because so many have been junked.

They do grow on you and we have two fine examples of gen three chevelles in our garage that will be worth something. 73 SS and 74 Laguna. Both black on black numbers matching 454 cars with solid bodies. I too wasn't partial to these at first but have grow to really like them.

Can they run hard, yes. The Laguna is slightly warmed over and although very heavy, it lays down 12 second 1/4 mile times. The 73 hasn't been ran down the 1/4 but it doesn't feel much, if any, different with it's warmed over drivetrain as well. They'd both surprise a few people lined up next to them.

Heck, I like all muscle cars. If I'm gonna dislike something, it'll be ricers with fart cans..

A lot of these 73 Chevelles were turned into Enduro racers prior to being junked. I had a 1973 Malibu 4 Door that had a 454, and I LOVED it, but I can't find any 4 doors anywhere. If anyone has got one, please contact me. Glenn24 at Inbox.com
I am in the NYC area, and would love to find one that is a 4 Door Malibu, any engine would be OK, as long as there are no major rust issues, and it isn't a Frankenstein.

Data are kind of hard to come by. I'm trying to build the 73-77 section of my www.chevellestuff.com (http://www.chevellestuff.com) website. Any info you have, photos of original colors, interiors, trim tags, etc. are welcomed.

The 73's are cool. The rear is like the 72.
