The next ACES regional is coming up in less than 3 weeks. There are still a few rooms available at the host hotel and plenty of room for Chevelles :thumbsup:. Right now we have a Friday night dinner planned at a local restaurant after the show field is all set up. Anyone that would like to attend, please let me know so we can get a rough headcount. Last year we estimated around 30 people and ened up with over 60. Just want to make sure the restuarant is well prepared for us ;). Also, there will be a Saturday night Cruise which will end up back at the park where some good grub will be waiting for us. Then once the sun sets, we will be attemping a movie night weather permitting. The movie is still TBD.

Sunday-sunny 75 degs, but more humid at 32%.

James...I always register on Sat morning, and I'm assuming that policy hasn't changed..... but you can save a few bucks pre-registering.

I'm off Friday and plan a marathon day of cruises and this show. Gonna start out at the Shrewsbury Farmers Market Cruise, maybe drive by the Lowes Cruise, and arrive at the (former) Crystal later that evening. Already preregistered for the show, but not sure if I'm doing the full-on show stance stuff with my Chevelle. It's too old for all this new meat that's coming to the show.

I vote for Talladega Nights, the Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Lot's of footage of that black/gold '69 Chevelle tearing up the pavement (among other things). :cool:

I've attended this show numerous times by flying into either of the two.
PHL is slightly more convenient but really either there or BWI will work. I usually pick whichever has the earliest arriving flight. If the times are close, I choose the city with the cheapest car rental. :o
Jeffry...what day(s) are you planning on attending? I usually fly up 1st flight on Saturday for the day, renting a car.

I wished your run was out here on the west coast, We would clean up the "Talledaga Nights" 1969 Chevelle and meet up with the group! She doesn't travel well, with 4:11 for the movie footage, she hates the freeway, the trip home from Southern California to Northern California was not a fun trip, but was well worth the extra time. Hello Mike,

Yes, I own the 1969 Chevelle used in the filming of the Talledaga Nights movie. There were a total of 3 cars, I've personal seen two of them and own one. It's the opening of the movie car, the car Ricky is born in, look at the speedometer and you see 24,305, that is what this car has on it, as the didn't have the speedomter hooked up, they drove it with an outside source. In fact if you watch closely, you'll see the car is in park, so not moving. I'll try and compress some pictures and post.

Well, the car is loaded on the trailer. the Dodge is gassed up and ready to go. The suitcases are being packed and stuff is getting loaded. We plan on being in B-more around midnight tomorrow.

My 67 is polished and the truck & trailer is washed. I'm going to load up tommorow night and head out early Friday Morning. I'm going to be running with buddy of mine. He is bringing a red 70 LS 5. We should be there sometime Friday afternoon :beers: .

Yes, fishing is allowed, I think swimming is banned though.

A car (1970 LS-6 I think), and trailer stolen from the hotel. A guy came into the hotel parking lot with a pick-up truck, hooked up to the trailer and left with it. I think they knew what they were after.

Is anyone going to Lowes Friday night? it would be cool to see all those Chevelles in there at once.

Went to Cecil last night, pretty cool. Different set up then Englishtown Raceway (Closer to the action, guess that's why you have to sign a waiver LOL). A couple of imports, mustangs, Chevelles, and motorcycles. Had fun and no rain.

If I can get my wife to get her hair finished we will be up I-95 and there in an hour. :angry:

I wimped out...still home and just got out of the bed. :o
