Has anyone ever removed and replaced the 4 metal paint dividers on the steering wheel ? if so how is it done correctly and where can I purchase new ones? thanks

These are available for the 58-60 Impala wheels.
Might try a set of those to see if they will work/look okay.

I just did that on my 66 wheel-I was able to pry off the metal ring with a small screwdriver-can only be done 1 way-the other way won't fit and then requires you to bend the ring out. I did bend the first one however, I was able to "crimp" it back on with a protected pliers afterwards-looks great on the painted wheel...

I was hoping that someone replaced them cause when sanding the wheel I scratched the rings and tried polishing them back, but figured that if I could replace them without a big deal I would. Seems like you would need some sort of a crimping tool to make them fit nice and tight once they bend around the wheel. Anyone know ????? thanks

The metal paint divider ornaments (as they are described) are sold for 58-63 Impala. Harmons.com has them ,but I can't locate the crimping tool needed to install them around the steering wheel. Anyone have one or know where one can be found? thanks
