I am re-assembling the dash on my 67 El Camino, and can't seem to figure out how the Glove box trim bezel attaches to the dash. It came with some screws, but they don't appear to hold it all by themselves (there is a gap between the screw post and the dash). I looked at a factory manual, and it shows some kind of retainer that is needed under the screw. Does anyone have a pic of what they look like, or how it attaches? Are the retainers still available anywhere?
Thanks!

There is a U-shaped sort of washer/clip deal that the screws go through. I don't think they're reproduced. I didn't have them, so I made my own solution....3/4" EMT cut to the right length and fender washers for screws to go through for the dash strip portion. This should also work for your bezel...

James Hinshaw`s Chevelle parts has just reproduced the clips for the glove box bezel you are looking. 336-586-0802. Saw them at Chevellabration 09.
