I had a wheel cylinder go bad on my 71 and you know what that does to paint. I decided to replace all the springs not knowing how old they were. After completing the job two half inch c-clips were "left over" in the bag. What application are they for? Pre 70's or did I miss something or have I been missing something for years??

Did you do the front or the rear? In the rear a c-clip is used to hold a pivot pin that holds the parking brake lever to the brake shoe.

I did the rear drums. I cannot find that in any of my books? Guess I will have to take another look.. thanks.

Some times the clips are in the package and are not used. Pretty much all the GM cars I have done rear brakes on, the ebrake lever just hooks into the secondary shoe.

Most combi kits are designed to fit a number of years, some later models used a pin and clip to hold the ebrake lever to the shoe.So for your car their just extra parts.
