Today I was at a funeral service for a member of the crane crew (the guy from Granite Falls who was shot by the police) and while I was there my Honda was broken into and everything was stolen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.nwbombers.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/furious.gif I want to http://www.nwbombers.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/shooter.gif somebody!!!!
They stole my Red Rocket Racing coat and my Boeing badge and another coat and my lunchbox and they got into the trunk and stole a case of fuel additive and about $300.00 worth of parts I just bought for Terry's truck http://www.nwbombers.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif It was a new drag link and tie rod ends that are still the boxes.
The cops are NO help whatsoever (please go online and fill out a report with our office and we will do everything we can http://www.nwbombers.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif ) They do not have time to take a report on the phone and definately do not have time to come out and talk to you.

So if anyone see's my Red Rocket Racing coat on a person other tham me please get it back for me or better yet let me know so I can take it back myself http://www.nwbombers.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/hit.gif Man it pisses me off that somebody got into my car and stole from me!!!!!!

I hate thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cops aren't any good for helping out the regular guy in situations like that. Cuts into the revenue making speed ticket time and screw off time. You basically have to tell a dispatcher there is "shots fired" to get any action. They don't have time because it happens so much and they could never investigate that many instances so it just keeps getting worse because the thieves know nobodies trying to catch them.

It sure seems like people have to go back to the wild west days and take care of wrong doings themselves. We sure don't get help from the man.

They best hope I'm not home if they ever hit my place, I'd fear for my life and my have to protect my family and self!

That sucks Hoss!:mad::(

I've had cars broken into... stereo's stolen and other stuff... my '67 Elky was broken into and they tried to slide hammer the ignition and broke the screw off in the key slot...

My 1st wife's car was stolen while we were together. I was homicidal when the car was stolen. I went cruising for hours looking for the car and am now glad I didn't catch them because I'm pretty sure I'd have shot them.

It would have sucked to go to prison over a Jetta.

Look for your stuff on craigslist and ebay. You know a lot of the guys that race in the area. Make sure as many guys as you can tell know what to look for.

Oh, and if I find someone wearing your coat... you WILL get it back.

That sucks Hoss. I will keep an eye out for the coat. I have had a car stolen and one of my trucks was broken into twice. I hate two things and that's thieves and liars.

That really sucks Hoss, sorry to hear it. My old Integra was stolen right in front of my house. They cut through the 400$ alarm and the police found it stripped less than 5 minutes from my house. Of course, it took them 3 weeks to find it.

I'm all for 'down with the man' in these kinds of circumstances. I bought my first shotgun the day after they stole the Integra and had it loaded up in my Truck when I went cruising by where they found it. I was relieved when I didn't see anybody stripping any other cars because I don't know what I would've done.

I doubt I'll see anything this far south, but will definitely get your coat back for you if I do and see if anything else might be able to be found.

That sucks big time - watch craigslist and ebay for your stuff. Maybe even post an ad of what was stolen - perhaps someone else will notify you if they see your stuff.
To make it worse, it happens during a funeral service.
With the eceonomy going the way it is, stealing will only get worse.

The thing that bugs me the most is that my Red Rocket Racing jacket is gone and my Old School Boeing service pins 5,10,15 and 20 year pins. This is stuff that is useless to anyone but important to me

That does suck big-time. I have been there myself and I know how you're feeling...and as much as you probably don't want to hear this- "look on the bright side". It sounds like it was probably kids looking for a quick buck, versus someone that knows how to cash in on identity theft (would have taken your checkbook for sure). As far as the cops go, you can get them there in-person if you insist upon it (no need for telling the calltaker "shots fired"...that will land you in some hot water). The sheriff's office has the online form set up for just this type of thing (cold thefts and malicious mischief) and they do use that info. If they pull over some ****head with a carload of stolen property, they want to know who's stuff that is....not only to get it back to you but to get the ****head into jail where he belongs. Trust me, the cops aren't blowing you off or being lazy...they have enough crap going on that this is the only way they can prioritize and get it all handled. Thieves and scumbags piss me off to no end. I've had cars broken into, tires slashed, gas siphoned, mirrors broken, cars stolen (yes, more than one). Had the satisfaction of seeing one guy get hauled out at gunpoint, at least that was something. Sometimes it's a ****ty world we live in and sometimes ****ty things happen to good people, but believe me when I say it could be a whole lot worse. The really bad stuff doesn't happen that often (like that incident in Granite Falls) thank god. Get the word out there about your stuff, and keep an eye out. Hopefully it will turn up!
Good luck!
Chris

And ironically I see this morning that someone has siphoned gas from one of my cars and a few others parked near it on my street. Destroyed my gas cap in the process because they were too stupid to twist it (it's not a locking cap!).
I certainly will be having some words with the culprit should I catch them.
Oh well. Hope you all are having a great day! :)
