Hey all, I am new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. My name is Cyrus, I'm 18 years old, and I live in Woodland Hills CA. I have posted a few questions before and was very delighted to see the responses from the people on this board. I have a question regarding sway bars. As for my 72 Chevelle, it doesn't have any and I was wondering if I can score some from the junk yard, I've heard there are certain cars from the 80's that have sway bars that'll work in a chevelle. I was wondering if any of you guys know which model and year vehicles these are so I know what to keep my eyes open for later today. Also, are they direct bolt ons or will they need fabricating?
Thank you,

Welcome,

Let me introduce you to the Sway Bar Man. Try this (http://www.geocities.com/diels12000/SwayBar.html) link. Joe has lots of cool stuff on his site.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the information guys. I understand now that the 2nd Gen. F body sway bars will fit. But I've also heard of a certain year of cadillac or oldsmobile cutlass bars working as well. Has anyone heard of this, or can confirm this? Also will the rear bar from the 2nd. gen. F body fit or just the front?
-Thanks,

For the rear bar GM still offers the F41 7/8" bar. I don't know the part number off the top of my head though. Do a search and you'll find it.
