Im going to be rebuilding my front and rear suspension on my 72 and had a few questions. Should i use poly or just stock rubber bushing kits? As far as the coil springs, I want a slight drop over the factory springs but i do not want it to look lowered. My other chevelle i used factory springs and after a few years its at the height i really like. Does anyone make coil springs that are cheap and only dropped 1-1.5 inches? Ive seen the 2'' drops but im afraid that might be going lower than i like. I really dont want to pay big bucks for a spring thats lowered.

Moog makes a bunch of coil springs with all sorts of drop and different rates, they usually run about 65/pair.

As for bushings this is what i read/ learned

poly- stiffer, they can sqeak, are expensive

rubber- smoother ride, cheap

I would not used poly on the front end b/c the front end moves alot. But i don't know what your intentions are. I am using Moog bushings in my 70 and i am using it for a weekend cruiser. You can also get cheaper rubber bushings but Moog is made in the US and has a good reputatioin.
(I have never drive my car, I look forawrd to doing so in May))
