Does anyone have a photo or diagram of how and where the vacuum hose attaches on a 72 cowl induction system??? Is the vacuum fitting three male ends if you have power brakes, and A/T?

You have it right, it's one of the ports on the intake manifold connector. (at least it is on a '70, I doubt they changed it).

the one with auto trans has 1 threaded fitting for brake booster and 2 vacuum fittings,1 for vacuum modulator to the trans and the other for cowl induction hose

A three male port fitting that is screwed in the intake manifold on a 72 BB with AC, should have a hose from transmission modulator valve, a hose for the heat/ac and a hose for the cowl induction. The power brake hose is connected directly to a port on the rear of the quadrajet carb.
