My 71 Chevelle was originally equiped with drum brakes on all four corners and a manual brake master cylinder unit.. :( After rebuilding all four corners I was dissatisfied with the braking performance so I installed a correct power brake unit for that year including a power disc master..
I am aware of the differences between power disc and drum brake masters and their functions... I am planning to do a drum to disc conversion soon ... Any suggestions on the type of proportioning valve I should install.. Adjustable? different years ? P.S. I work at a respectable parts store as a parts guy so I am open to suggestions..

I just bought a stock replacement from hinshaws it was like $70 bucks but has worked fine for over 2 years and fixed my problem of wierd brake issues. I don't see the need for anything other than stock.

Thanks for the advice ..Sounds like im off to buying a new prop. valve..Stock replacement will avoid any modifications..Anything to make the process painfree..Thanks again Gumball68Malibu.. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
