There is a video at number 82 at the bottom of the page, but look at the guy's other photos of his restoration/Modifications. Not too bad.
steve_sutherland Jun 8th, 09, 4:24 PM never seen that before
TrooperY2K Jun 9th, 09, 12:23 AM Sweet. I'm still debating what to do with my smuggler' s cove. Hate to waste good space.
schmol Jun 14th, 09, 4:24 AM Mine is going to be used to house all of my air ride tanks and compressors...
steve_sutherland Jun 14th, 09, 9:10 AM air ride system would be good to tuck back there, especially if its decently low maitenance,
right now mine is basically just booster cables.
I have plan in the future though to cut a hole into it behind the passenger seat, and use that set back the back of the subwoofer i'm going to buy. I'll be bale to have the cone stick out a few inches, and have the rest of the sub back into the smugglers box. Then a bit of reainforcement in the middle to make sure my bed floor doesnt want to come crashing down on it all lol.

I could not get that link above in the first post to play.
OLDED Jun 14th, 09, 8:35 PM Here's mine. I used gas struts and a full length piano type hinge. The center support is removed and I built a support frame from 1" sq. tubing to stabilize the "lid". A bicycle hand brake lever and cable opens it.

I was at a show today and there was a guy with an awesome 71, he had his smugglers box set up basically the same way, looked sweet! ha and honda bragged about the first covered trunk inside of a truck bed with the ridgeline;)

I like your set up. When I bought mine it was allready done. Maybe someday if I come across a new lid for a good price I will redo it.
OLDED Jun 15th, 09, 3:25 PM Thanks, there is an old thread on this with a couple more pics of mine - tickle it for "Smuggler's Box"
Surfin' 66 Jun 15th, 09, 6:52 PM I've tried to watch the video in the first post several times, but it never finishes loading.
Anyone else having trouble seeing it? I'd really like to check it out.

Ed was that at the peach state chevelle show?
My dad and I were there and that is what gave me the idea to try and do mine.
Very nice work! I like it.

72Sprint Jun 16th, 09, 6:50 AM Im having the same problem. It's working for me with Windows Media Player 11. It's an AVI file but it doesn't say in the properties what codec was used to create it. Try upgrading if you're using an older version.
OLDED Jun 16th, 09, 12:40 PM Yes, We were at the Peach State show. thanks for the thoughts.

He shoulda smoothed out those dents, that would have looked much better with that coating on it.
