I have heard before you torque the control arm bolts down, you have to have the full weight of the car resting on them. anyways...
I have my body with all the drivetrain resting on the frame but the interior is empty and hood and trunk aren't on yet. Is this enough weight to torque them down?

Thanks, graemlins/thumbsup.gif

If you have rubber bushings, then I would wait till the very end.

You should be fine with whats on the car now, a hood wouldn't make a hill of beans difference. The key thing is just have the car setting on the ground when you torque the bolts.

Rocky Does the body have to be on the car? It would sure be a lot easier to get to the bolts with the body off.

Are you guys talking about front or rear control arms? Or both?

Kevin </font>[/QUOTE]Absolutely yes.

As far as the interior, hood, etc. are concerned you'd be surprised how much difference they make. Get the car fully assembled THEN torque the control arm bolts.

Front or rear, the answer is the same.
