I have a 69 convert with a plastic back window in the top. At some point someone had wiped off the rear window and left many fine scratches. Not deep enough that a fingenail will catch but they really show up in the sun. I have seen some of the Meguiars ads, etc. that say you can polish scratches out from headlights, etc. Has anyone had success with any of these products? Would you use a circular polisher or an random orbital and what product. I sure don't want to leave it cloudy or worse than it is now. Ideas?

Novus plastic cleaners work great. find at motorcycle dealers. i used it on my jeep after being in the woods and made them look like new everytime.

I've used the Meguiar's Plastic X and it works good. I used it with a Porter Cable random orbital polisher and a foam polishing pad. I've even wetsanded tail light lenses and then polished them with great results.

I think I'll try my Porter Cable R/O and see what happens unless someone has a better idea.

Do that and you'll be buying a new window!
