: Keep Losing My Posts as Server is Busy

I keep losing my posts to others threads - where I want to offer my suggestions to others questions. This is most frustrating and I can't take the time to respond to others questions knowing its likely to be a lost post.

A great site - if one can get through.

Every once in a while, everything seems to stop - I'll try posting and the computer sits and waits for an answer from TC. Doesn't happen to me a whole bunch though...

Sorry Bart. I'm aware of this happening and thought there was a solution in place but it's more than I can manage (remember, I brew beer for a real job). I'm working on a new solution to fix the server issues but it will be awhile longer.

Al, :beers:

I have had it happen to me as well, I have had a nice answer to a post, then I lose the whole thing and don't bother. What I do sometimes now is type up a response in Word, save it, then I cut and paste it into the post. If there is a glitch I can always cut and paste again.

There have been cases where I thought I lost my posting and I try again, only to find 5 minutes later that my original post did go through. Patience, Grasshopper!

When it seem's to hang ,I open another window of TC and look at the thread I'm trying to post into.
Most times ,the response is there and I just close the original window.
When I don't do that ,I end up double posting for some reason.
Been doing that as a work around.

Another thing you can do if you use Firefox. If the websiter hangs on the thread and your post doesn't show up. Hit your back button. The reply box most likely will be empty. But if you right click FF will give you an UNDO button. Click it and what you wrote should show up again. A lot of the times if I have a long post I will copy it before trying to post it. That way if it hangs I can just paste it and reply again.

Appreciate the suggestions. I'll start copying the post before posting it. In e-mail, I save drafts regularly, but that doesn't work here.

Poured my best response into a thread many times only to see it disappear when the server is too busy - traffic is highest in the evenings, including myself.

Will find a way to save the keyboarding efforts before posting.
