just finished putting in new front and rear suspension in 69..was told by a FREIND NOT TO TORQUE THE REAR ARMS OR FRONT ARMS until i install drivetrain and have car on the ground..is this true?any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated ..if so i guess the best way is on a platform lift, otherwise cant get under the car when its on the ground,,thanks to all in advance....looking foward to responses on this one.

Your friend is correct - if you have rubber or poly bushings. Only exception is you can torque the front now if you have Global West Del-a-lum bushings. Using a lift would be the easiest (as you've stated). I've used Rhino Ramps with great results.

You can torque in the air with poly. Only rubber bushings are bound to the metal and must be torqued at full weight. You can put jackstands under the lower control arms and do it that way, you know. The tires don't need to be on the ground.
