has anyone smoothed (filled) out the front license plate area on their front bumper? or has anyone sectioned it to pull it in closer to the body? Sorry if this sounds like a retarded question, but i was looking at pics of my front bumper(haven't picked the car up yet) and i think it would look cool with a smooth bumper and just the parking lights. Thanks:beers:

I haven't done it yet but it's on the list of mods. Right after I install my flushed and smoothed side marker light bezels.

has anyone photochopped it? idk if that can be done on that program or not, but it would be cool to see. I love the smooth bumper(no bolts), they look (o)(o)

I have a stamped metal 1970 Chevelle that my wife gave me for Christmas. I think she got it from the Hot Rod Catalogue (Summit Racing). It has a smoothed bumper and is what cued me to the idea. It is also missing the license plate holder and hood release handle. By the way have you thought about improving the opening in the rear bumper and using a flip up license plate holder (i.e. Hidden Hitch) for the rear plate.

I bet if you go to the overhaulin web site and check out the previous shows I think the 1st or 2nd season they did that to a chevelle. jim

The very first car they did on Overhaulin' was a 71 or 72 chevelle and they smothed out the licence plate recess.

i would think you just cut a piece of metal to match the "triangle" in the bumper, weld it in, and re-chrome..idk?
